Waiter / Steward

Job Summary:

We are looking for a courteous and energetic Waiter/Steward to provide excellent customer service and ensure a smooth dining experience for guests. The role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining cleanliness and efficiency on the restaurant floor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests in a polite and friendly manner
• Present menus and explain dishes, offers, and recommendations
• Take accurate food and beverage orders.
• Serve food and drinks promptly as per service standards
• Ensure tables are clean, properly set, and cleared after use
• Coordinate with kitchen staff for timely order preparation and delivery
• Handle basic guest queries and escalate complaints to the captain/manager when needed
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of the service area
• Assist in setting up and closing the restaurant (opening/closing duties)
• Ensure billing is correct and assist in payment processes if required

Requirements:

• Basic experience in a restaurant or hospitality role (preferred but not mandatory)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic knowledge of food and beverages
• Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays
