Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Accountant with a strong understanding of real estate accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. Candidates must have hands-on experience in handling day-to-day accounts as well as ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to the real estate sector.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain books of accounts and complete accounting records.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank accounts, ledgers, receivables, payables, and cash flow statements.
  • Record sales, purchases, brokerage payments, commissions, advances, and property transactions.
  • Prepare monthly MIS reports, P&L, Balance Sheet, and management reports.
  • Handle vendor payments, customer receipts, and fund management.
  • Coordinate with auditors, banks, consultants, and government authorities.
  • Manage accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, or similar ERP systems.

Mandatory Compliance Knowledge (Must Have)The candidate must have practical working knowledge of:

  • Direct TaxationTDS deduction, payment, return filing, and reconciliation.
  • TDS on rent, professional fees, contractor payments, commission, brokerage, and salaries.
  • Form 16, Form 16A, and TRACES portal.
  • Advance Tax and Income Tax provisions.
  • Corporate Income Tax compliance.
  • GST ComplianceGST registration and amendments.
  • GST invoicing and e-invoicing requirements.
  • GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual return filing.
  • Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliation.
  • GST implications on real estate transactions.
  • Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM).
  • ROC & Corporate ComplianceROC annual filings.
  • Director-related compliances.
  • Board resolutions and statutory registers.
  • MCA portal filings.
  • Compliance under the Companies Act.
  • Payroll & Labour ComplianceSalary processing.
  • PF compliance.
  • ESIC compliance.
  • Professional Tax (where applicable).
  • Labour law compliance and employee records.
  • Real Estate-Specific KnowledgeAccounting of property bookings, cancellations, transfers, and refunds.
  • Brokerage and commission accounting.
  • Understanding of Builder-Buyer Agreements.
  • RERA-related financial documentation and compliance.
  • Customer ledger management.
  • Escrow and project-specific accounting (preferred).
  • Property transfer and assignment accounting.
  • Real estate revenue recognition principles.
  • Required SkillsStrong command over Tally Prime and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, MIS Reporting).
  • Excellent understanding of taxation and statutory compliance.
  • Ability to independently close monthly and yearly accounts.
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
  • Good communication and documentation abilities.
  • QualificationB.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience.
  • Prior experience in the real estate industry will be highly preferred.

Selection CriteriaCandidates will be assessed on:

  • Practical accounting knowledge.
  • GST and TDS expertise.
  • Real estate accounting experience.
  • Compliance handling capability.
  • Excel and reporting skills.

Only candidates with hands-on experience in GST, TDS, ROC filings, payroll compliance, and real estate accounting will be considered for this position.
