Analyst
Key Expectations
- Configure and test the Alight’s proprietary Core Benefit Administration™ (CBA)
system to meet client requirements.
- Deliver low to medium complexity analysis and test plans with high accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure system configurations and test regimes reflect the technical capabilities of the platform.
- Support client delivery priorities by adhering to timelines and quality standards.
- Mentor and coach new hires on system configuration and test execution.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.
- Working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles.
- Understanding of system testing and software quality assurance best practices.
- Ability to apply basic relational database concepts (tables, keys, SQL/DB queries)
- Tools knowledge: JIRA,
- Ability to troubleshoot basic system defects and debug issues.
- Strong communication, task management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Good understanding of US Benefits administration – Health & Welfare domain
- Understanding of Files landscape – Vendor, Payroll files, 834, Non-834 files
Soft-Skills:
- Attention to detail and quality ownership mindset
- Ability to work in distributed/onshore–offshore teams
- Proactive issue identification and risk escalation
- Adaptability to changing client needs and agile delivery environments

Role Description
The Analyst – Technology role is responsible for configuring and testing Alight’s proprietary Core Benefit Administration™ (CBA) system and delivering low to medium complexity analysis and test plans that accurately reflect the system’s technical capabilities and client requirements.
The role involves designing and configuring system tables and parameters, planning and deploying effective test suites, and executing structured testing regimes for benefits program design and software application development. The Analyst reviews client requirements documentation, ask clarifying questions, and supports analysis and test planning while adhering to delivery timelines and priorities.
The incumbent applies prior experience to ensure accuracy and completeness of analysis and test plans, remains aware of client business needs, and adapts to changing priorities. The role also includes mentoring and coaching new hires on system configuration and test execution, troubleshooting system defects, and proactively escalating risks or issues when required.
Education:
- B.Tech (CS / IT / ECE) or MCA – mandatory Experience
- Relevant experience in the US Benefits domain and Benefits Administration
- Experience in system testing and software quality assurance methodologies
- Ability to read and interpret basic programming logic
