Bakery Chefs

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, desserts, and other bakery products.
• Follow standardized recipes and maintain product consistency.
• Ensure daily production is completed according to requirements.
• Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the bakery section.
• Check raw materials for quality and proper storage conditions.
• Minimize wastage and control food costs.
• Monitor stock levels and inform management about shortages.
• Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain production records and inventory usage.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team and management for smooth operations.
• Develop new bakery items and seasonal products when required.
• Ensure all products meet company quality standards before display or dispatch.
• Required SkillsKnowledge of bakery production techniques.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of bakery equipment and tools.
• Creativity in product presentation and decoration.
• QualificationsDiploma or Certification in Bakery and Confectionery preferred.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a bakery, café, hotel, or restaurant.
• Experience in artisanal breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts is an added advantage.
• Working ConditionsFlexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle bakery equipment safely.
