Job Summary:

The Credit Manager is responsible for assessing and underwriting short-term personal loan applications. The role involves analyzing customer credit reports, bank statements, and income data to make informed credit decisions as per company policy and risk parameters.

Key Responsibilities

* Evaluate customer applications for short-term/personal loans as per internal credit policy and regulatory norms.

* Review CIBIL reports, Account Aggregator data, and banking PDF statements to assess repayment capacity.

* Identify hidden obligations and cross-verification of salary credits, EMI outflows, and bounced transactions.

* Perform credit underwriting based on parameters such as income stability, employer type, credit mix, loan exposure, and repayment behavior.

* Validate customer information for fraud prevention and ensure authenticity of submitted documents.

* Coordinate with sales and operations teams for clarification and timely processing of cases.

* Record approval/rejection remarks with justifications on CRM.

* Ensure TAT (Turnaround Time) adherence and maintain quality of underwriting decisions.

* Check if the customer is already serving a loan with partner NBFCs and review repayment performance.

* Identify thin-file and thick-file customers and evaluate accordingly.

* Participate in ongoing process improvement and feedback discussions with risk and analytics teams.
