Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.

Our journey started in 2002 with approximately 200 people. Today we stand at 80,000+ professionals in ten locations around the world. We operate in Argentina, China, Hungary, India, Philippines, Poland, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Spain and the United Kingdom.

Client service is focused on providing Consulting, Assurance, Tax, Strategy & Transactions, and Knowledge support to our clients around the world. The teams enable account teams worldwide to provide seamless, high-quality, value-added support, helping deliver exceptional client service.

Enablement Services provides cost-effective, high-skilled, and innovative services to support EY’s global and local enablement teams. Markets, BMC, AWS, Finance and Accounting, Risk Management, Procurement, People Shared Services, IT Service Delivery and IT Global Infrastructure services, are among the services offered by Enablement Services.

Our innovation specialists serve the GDS Client Service and Enablement Services teams, along with Service Lines, Core Business Services and Sectors. The team brings the desired environment, technologies and skilled teams together for facilitation, rapid prototyping and innovative thinking. The competencies offered include analytics, digital, user experience, mobile technology, infrastructure, Microsoft technologies and open innovation.

 

The Opportunity

As an SAP EWM Technical Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and optimizing our Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) solutions. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of warehouse management technology, driving improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and overall operational performance.

You will be responsible for the technical implementation and configuration of EWM systems, ensuring that they align with our business processes and objectives. Your expertise will be essential in developing and customizing EWM functionalities, integrating them with other SAP modules, and troubleshooting any technical issues that arise.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including logistics, supply chain, and IT, to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. You will also have the opportunity to stay updated on the latest SAP technologies and best practices, contributing to strategic initiatives that enhance our warehouse operations.

Your Key Responsibilities

• System Configuration: Configure and implement SAP EWM solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring alignment with warehouse operations and logistics processes.
• Technical Development: Develop and customize EWM functionalities, including enhancements, interfaces, and reports, using relevant SAP technologies and programming languages.
• Integration: Ensure seamless integration of EWM with other SAP modules (such as MM, SD, and WM) and third-party systems to support end-to-end supply chain processes.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues related to EWM applications, providing timely support to minimize operational disruptions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, logistics, and IT, to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, technical specifications, and development processes to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the quality and functionality of developed solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest SAP EWM technologies and best practices, recommending enhancements and improvements to optimize warehouse operations.
• Training and Knowledge Sharing: Provide training and support to end-users and junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

 

Skills and attributes for success

• ABAP objects development in SAP Modules such as EWM.
• Application of OSS notes and SAP ASAP methodology.
• Principles of program documentation and techniques of systems analysis, design, and testing.
• Principles of report, screen and form design, develop test data and analyze problems.
• Design, develop, and code difficult and complex programs for SAP EWM.
• Recognize the critical elements of complex application problems, develop and evaluate data, determine solutions, and make logical recommendations.
• Express difficult and complex concepts clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
• Work effectively and independently on assigned projects, train users.
• Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with administrators, technical and functional team members, and users.
• Understanding of EWM Process Flow.
• Experience in OO ABAP, ITS technology.
• Good experience in EWM ABAP (RF Screen, PPF, enhancements, CIF, EEWB, Monitor Enhancement).
• Knowledge in Warehouse monitor, Alerts.
• Conduct solution architecting workshops with the business managers. Create detailed solution documentation and presentations and implement the solution using the standard solutions in SAP.
• Work with customer business teams and project teams effectively; Conduct requirement gathering workshops, map these into SAP.
