We are currently seeking a Lead / Manager - Subcontracts, to join our Delhi Team, and this position will be directly reporting to Head - Subcontracts

About the mission we offer you:

 

The Lead / Manager - Subcontracts, will be responsible for managing the complete subcontracting lifecycle, including subcontract planning, tendering, bid evaluation, negotiation, and work order issuance. Ensures cost-effective subcontract awards, compliance with contractual and legal requirements, and effective management of subcontractor performance and claims. Maintains subcontractor databases, market intelligence, and regulatory updates to support project and business objectives. Drives continuous improvement of subcontracting processes, procedures, and vendor relationships.

 

Qualifications / Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in engineering
• Minimum of 8 to 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry or similar role
• Required to communicate with English language
• Good IT skills. Proficiency in MS office
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Project management and coordination experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork, high level of responsibility and able to adapt in fast paced environment.
• Be able to integrate and contribute within a team environment.

To prepare the Subcontract Plan & Subcontracting Strategies during proposal / Project Execution stage.

• To have a look ahead plan and identify potential subcontractors for Sub contract award and negotiation.

• To prepare the Tender document by consolidation of Technical section, unpriced commercial and

contractual section and Price Section of Tender

• To prepare Initial cost estimation of the Tender Scope of Work

• To float the Tender Enquiry, pre Bid TQ /CQs management and receipt of Bids.

• Techno commercial evaluation of Bids, scope clarification meeting, MOMs etc. and preparation of TBT/CBT

• To verify the awarded price is within the budget or to achieve the optimum price level to increase

profitability for the company.

• To handle all required legal documents with respect to Letter of Indemnity, Workmen Insurances, bank

guarantees, adherence of Labour laws etc.

• To keep the latest update on any changes in the Labour Laws regulations and disseminate to the

department.

• To monitor and ensure WO are issued within the shortest time possible.

• To provide assistance to subordinates to handle complaints from Site execution team, as and when

required, concerning poor progress or quality work from subcontractors and issue of contractual letter to

the Subcontractors

• To verify any additional Claims or Sub Contract Variations from subcontractors are proper and are

captured either in the claims register.

• Maintaining Subcontract wise Back charge register

• To keep abreast of subcontracting news in the market on current market pricing and trends.

• To regularly update the master bidders list and increase the Subcontractors Pool.

• To perform periodical subcontractor’s assessment at least once in a year through audit / Site execution

feed backs.

• To attend to any other matters related to subcontracting as and when delegated by the Senior Manager

including meetings.

• Update / Keep up Subcontract department procedure document and flow.
