At EY, we are building a next‑generation, AI‑enabled Revenue Assurance Solution within GDS to help telecom operators protect revenues, reduce leakage, and move from people‑heavy controls to intelligent, scalable assurance models.
The opportunity
As a Senior – Revenue Assurance , you will play a key role in the hands‑on execution and operationalization of EY’s AI‑enabled RA solution . You will work across the complete telecom revenue lifecycle, executing reconciliations, investigating revenue leakages, validating billing and network data, and actively contributing to the development and use of AI agents across Revenue Assurance use cases.
This role requires strong telecom domain expertise , deep billing and network understanding , and practical experience applying analytics and AI‑driven techniques within the RA lifecycle.
Your key responsibilities
Client delivery & analysis
- Execute end‑to‑end Revenue Assurance controls across the telecom revenue lifecycle:
network → mediation → rating → billing → invoicing → collections → GL - Perform usage‑to‑cash and provisioning‑to‑billing reconciliations (CDR/UDR vs mediation vs billing vs GL), identifying:

- Unbilled or under‑billed usage
- Rating and charging discrepancies
- Product and catalogue configuration mismatches
- Analyze billing mismatches , incorrect discount application, bundle errors, and tariff rule failures.
- Investigate revenue leakage , perform root‑cause analysis, quantify financial impact, and support issue closure.
- Execute RA controls across all major telecom revenue streams , including voice (MO/MT, domestic & international), SMS (P2P, A2P), data, roaming (TAP, NRTRDE), interconnect and settlements, OTT and subscription‑based services, and digital, bundled, and partner revenue models.
Operational excellence
- Perform detailed analysis and reconciliation of suspense and clearing accounts , including aging, root‑cause identification, and recovery tracking.
- Validate completeness and accuracy of network source data (CDRs/UDRs) across switches, IN, IMS, packet core, and OTT platforms.
- Support and validate network source agents and upstream data feeds to ensure data integrity and control coverage.
- Prepare control evidence, reconciliation logs, and documentation to ensure auditability and compliance with RA standards.
Billing, systems & integration expertise
- Work hands‑on with billing engines (e.g., Amdocs, Ericsson, Netcracker), including:

- Rating logic and charging rules
- Discounts, bundles, and promotional configurations
- Impact analysis of billing configuration changes
- Analyze and troubleshoot revenue issues caused by API‑based integrations between provisioning, billing, CRM, partner, and digital platforms.
- Support UAT, defect analysis, production validation, and reconciliation sign‑offs for billing and RA controls.
Controls, KRIs & monitoring
- Execute and operate KRIs/KPIs , thresholds, and tolerances under guidance from RA leadership.
- Assist in building and validating dashboards, alerts, and monitoring logic to ensure adequate risk coverage and data accuracy.
- Document control logic, assumptions, data definitions, and evidence to support auditability and explainability.
Data & technology collaboration
- Work closely with data engineering and BI teams to support data sourcing, validation, and transformation.
- Validate datasets related to CDRs, billing tables, settlements, and financial data used in RA reconciliations.
- Actively use and contribute to AI‑enabled Revenue Assurance capabilities , including:

- AI agents for anomaly detection, reconciliations, and exception prioritization
- Automation of manual RA controls using agent‑based logic
People & engagement support
- Guide analysts and junior team members on analysis approach, validation checks, and documentation standards.
- Produce client‑ready analysis, dashboards, reports, and control documentation .
- Contribute to reusable RA assets such as control playbooks, checklists, and leakage libraries.
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong understanding of telecom revenue flows and BSS/OSS systems —mediation, rating, billing, invoicing, and collections.
- Practical knowledge of Revenue Assurance frameworks , revenue leakage types, control design, and reconciliations.
- Hands‑on experience working with large telecom datasets , CDRs/UDRs, and settlement files.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to clearly communicate findings and issues to senior team members.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- 5+ years of hands‑on Telecom Revenue Assurance experience (operator, vendor, or consulting).
- Strong execution experience in provisioning‑to‑billing, usage‑to‑revenue, revenue‑to‑GL reconciliations , suspense account analysis , leakage identification, and KRI/KPI monitoring .
- Solid understanding of telecom billing and mediation systems with end‑to‑end revenue lifecycle knowledge.
- Hands‑on expertise with analytics tools (SQL, Excel, Power BI/Tableau), network source systems/source agents , billing engines (rating, discounts, bundles, config changes), and API/integration‑driven revenue issues .
- Practical exposure to AI / AI‑agent usage in Revenue Assurance , along with experience on RA tools (WeDo, Subex, Araxxe, TEOCO) and billing platforms (Amdocs, Ericsson, Netcracker).
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
