Job Description
We are looking for a hardworking Tandoor Helper to assist our Head Mughlai Chef. You will be responsible for the "back-end" work—handling the clay oven, skewering meats, and ensuring the tandoor section runs smoothly during rush hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tandoor Maintenance: Lighting the tandoor, maintaining the right temperature (coal/gas), and cleaning it daily.
- Meat Preparation: Assisting the Chef in cleaning meat and applying the first/second marinations for Chicken Tikka, Seekh Kababs, and Mutton Barra.
- Skewering: Placing meats and kababs on skewers correctly so they don't fall off.
- Breads: Helping with the preparation of Naan, Roti, and Kulcha when the tandoor is busy.
- Kitchen Upkeep: Keeping the tandoor station clean and organised.
- Learning: Following the Head Chef’s instructions strictly to maintain the restaurant’s signature taste.
Requirements:
- Experience: 6 months to 1 year in a tandoor section (Freshers with basic knowledge can also apply).
- Speed: Ability to work quickly in a hot environment.
- Discipline: Must be punctual and follow hygiene standards (clean nails, clean uniform).
