Job Description
- Prepare and cook tandoori items such as naan, roti, laccha paratha, kebabs, tikka, and grilled dishes.
- Marinate meat, paneer, and vegetables according to restaurant recipes.
- Operate and maintain the tandoor oven safely and efficiently.
- Ensure proper temperature control and cooking quality.
- Prepare mise en place (ingredients and cooking materials) before service.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the tandoor section as per food safety standards.
- Check the quality and freshness of raw materials.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely order preparation.
- Minimize food wastage and use ingredients efficiently.
- Follow instructions from the Kitchen Manager.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained after use.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Skills Required:Good knowledge of Indian tandoori cuisine.
- Experience in handling clay or gas tandoor ovens.
- Ability to work under pressure during busy hours.
- Teamwork and good communication skills.
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and sanitation.
