Applications Architect:

 

The candidate will be responsible for delivering solution designs and architectures for key global initiatives/client engagements in alignment with EY’s mission and strategy!

 

• 8-10+ years of Software Development experience
• 5+ years of experience in designing and building digital projects – Mobile/Web solutions.
• Contribute to the development of architecture governance structures, methodologies and compliance activities.
• Provide architecture leadership & domain expertise to client engagements focusing on digital technologies (Mobile/Web/Cloud)
• Ensure relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices are applied correctly across Technology programs/projects and products
• Ability to work across multiple projects with varied stakeholders. An App Architect sets architectural direction, builds consensus, mediates conflicts providing technical leadership and advisory services to the business
• Recognizes industry technology trends and emerging technologies, understands how they apply to EY and can drive their adoption into our organization.
• Maintains ongoing dialogue and builds trusted relationships with customers to educate them on the purpose and benefits of the right architecture for the solution
• Guide others in resolving complex issues in solution architecture and solves complex, escalated aspects of a product
• Monitor quality and progress of the project and reviews and develops due diligence to confirm the developed solution align with architectural design
• Review overall solution and estimates for new proposals

 

 

Skills Required :

 

• Advanced understanding of applications architecture
• Ability to communicate solutions, ideas, suggestions to business partners effectively and comprehensibly.
• Understanding of business and organizational strategy
• Deep understanding of Application, Infrastructure and security architecture and non-functional aspects like Performance, Scalability, Reliability, Availability, other “capabilities” of a system
• Managed the end-to-end lifecycles of a project in solution architect capacity
• Experience with multi-geography, multi-tier service design and management
• Should be able to define and design solutions independently based on the  driving factors such as Non-Functional requirements and functional requirements
• Technology Skillsets
  • Web/Mobile Solutions related to White Label, Micro Frontends, Web Components, Single Code Base App, Progressive Web App, Single Page Application, Hybrid App, Desktop App, Mobile App & UI integration  with APIs
  • Core Skills: Java, React, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery
  • CSS Framework: Bootstrap, Foundation, Material
  • Client Side:
    • Web:  Angular, React, Vue, Svelte Or Mobile Development : React Native
  • Server Side: Node JS, Java or .NET
  • Database: MySQL, Postgres, Cosmos DB
  • Full Stack : MEAN, MERN
  • Unit Testing: Karma, Jasmine, Jest
  • Build Tools: Gulp, Grunt, Webpack, Jenkins
  • Query Language: GraphQL
  • Container : Docker
  • Cloud : Any (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Experience in integration platform integration with Mobile/Web Apps
• Microservices and BFF Proficiency
• Experience with Agile & DevSecOps methodologies and toolsets. High-level of familiarity with containers, CI/CD pipelines, TDD/BDD aspects
• Excellent project management, collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience coaching and mentoring others
• Ability to deal efficiently with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner to resolve problems and achieve business goals
• Achieved one or more of the typical Architecture certifications e.g. Microsoft, MS Azure Certification, AWS Cloud Certified etc
