Job Description

A gold appraiser is responsible for evaluating the weight, purity, and quality of gold items to ensure accuracy and conformity to industry standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting appraisals: Performing detailed examinations of gold-based items to determine their purity, weight, and authenticity.
  • Information gathering: Accurately recording appraisal details, such as purity, weight, and any distinctive marks or features.
  • Customer service: Interacting with clients professionally and in a friendly manner, answering their queries and concerns about the appraisal procedure.
  • Market information: Staying informed about the latest market trends, gold prices, and industry practices & regulations for accurate evaluations.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with other team members, such as sales associates and senior staff, to ensure smooth customer service and accurate pricing.
  • Maintenance of equipment: Ensuring that all equipment used for appraisal is correctly calibrated and maintained to provide accurate results.
