Splicer Job Description:


  • Cable Splicing: Meticulously stripping, preparing, and fusing the cores of fiber optic, copper, or coaxial cables using specialized heat or fusion splicing machines.
  • Network Testing: Utilizing advanced diagnostic tools like OTDRs (Optical Time Domain Reflectometers) to test splices, verify signal integrity, and ensure optical properties remain as close to the original fiber as possible.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Identifying the source of network outages, "no light" issues, or signal degradation, and performing the necessary physical repairs to restore services promptly.
