Housekeeping Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily housekeeping operations across the restaurant, bakery, kitchen, production, dining, washrooms, storage, and outdoor areas.
• Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Assign housekeeping duties to team members and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety in accordance with FSSAI and company guidelines.
• Oversee dishwashing operations, ensuring all crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, trays, and equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and stored correctly.
• Manage laundry operations for uniforms, aprons, kitchen linen, tablecloths, napkins, towels, and cleaning cloths.
• Monitor housekeeping supplies, chemicals, and equipment; maintain inventory and coordinate timely replenishment.
• Conduct routine inspections of all areas and take corrective action where necessary.
• Ensure proper waste segregation, garbage disposal, and recycling procedures are followed.
• Train and mentor housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, chemical handling, hygiene practices, and workplace safety.
• Coordinate with the Kitchen, Bakery, Restaurant, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Report maintenance issues, repairs, and equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.
• Maintain housekeeping records, cleaning checklists, and attendance reports.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in housekeeping supervision within a restaurant, hotel, bakery, or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, sanitation standards, and food safety practices.
• Experience managing laundry and stewarding/dishwashing operations.
• Good leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to train and motivate a housekeeping team.
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic record-keeping and inventory management skills.
• Preferred QualificationsExperience in a restaurant, bakery, hotel, or food production facility.
• Knowledge of FSSAI hygiene standards and food safety practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Hindi and basic English.
