Job Description
- Job Responsibilities – Electrician / Motor Mechanic / Generator TechnicianInstallation, maintenance, and repair of electric motors, generators, and electrical systems.
- Routine inspection, testing, and servicing of DG sets, alternators, control panels, and wiring systems.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using testing instruments and take corrective actions.
- Perform overhauling, rewinding support, bearing replacement, and alignment of motors and generators.
- Ensure proper functioning of starter motors, AVR, batteries, and charging systems.
- Carry out preventive maintenance as per schedule to minimize breakdowns.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
- Maintain safety standards while working on live equipment and during shutdown maintenance.
- Record service reports, breakdown details, and maintenance logs accurately.
- Coordinate with service engineers and supervisors for job completion and escalation of issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and customer satisfaction.
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment at customer sites.
