Construction / Site Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are looking for a responsible and proactive Site Construction Supervisor to assist in the smooth execution of construction activities at the project site under the guidance of the Site Engineer. The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day site supervision, labor management, material coordination, petty purchases, and maintaining accurate site records to ensure timely and quality project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily construction activities at the site as per instructions from the Site Engineer.
• Monitor ongoing work to ensure proper execution, workmanship quality, and adherence to project timelines.
• Manage and deploy labor teams effectively as per daily work requirements.
• Maintain attendance records of laborers, subcontractors, and workforce deployment.
• Coordinate with the Site Engineer for daily work planning and execution priorities.
• Handle small site-related purchases / petty procurement from local markets as required for smooth site operations.
• Ensure timely availability of basic materials, tools, and consumables required for ongoing work.
• Maintain records of petty cash expenses, purchase bills, delivery challans, and material usage.
• Assist in monitoring material consumption and report shortages or requirements promptly.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety practices, and discipline at the construction site.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and workers for smooth workflow.
• Report daily site progress, labor status, and any issues or delays to the Site Engineer / management.
• Support in checking measurements, work completion status, and basic quality monitoring.
• Ensure proper handling and safekeeping of site tools and materials.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Basic understanding of civil construction activities, materials, and site operations.
• Ability to manage labor teams and coordinate with multiple workers/vendors.
• Basic record-keeping and documentation skills.
• Honest, responsible, and capable of handling petty cash / purchases.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Basic communication skills in Hindi / English / local language.
• Minimum education: 10th / 12th pass (Diploma or construction experience preferred).
