Plant Head

Primary Responsibilities:

1.  Oversee overall plant operations, ensuring efficient production, quality, and cost control.
2. Ensure adherence to safety standards, statutory regulations, and environmental norms.
3. Ensure optimal utilization of raw materials, manpower, and machinery.
4. Manage maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
5. Control plant budgets, reduce costs, and improve profitability.
6. Coordinate with procurement, sales, and supply chain for seamless operations.
7. Implement quality control systems to meet industry standards and customer requirements.
8. Develop and train workforce, ensuring high performance and engagement.
9. Handle audits, compliance, and documentation related to plant operations.
10. Prepare and control production, dispatch, and delivery schedules to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
11. Coordinate with Sales, Customers, Suppliers, Transporters, and internal departments for smooth plant operations.
12. Review daily performance and report Plan vs Actual production, rejection, and yield to Director / Managing Director.

Required Skills : 

• Strong knowledge of production and plant operations
• Experience in manufacturing / steel / fabrication industry preferred
• Leadership and team management skills
• Understanding of quality systems, inventory control, and safety practices
• Good communication and reporting skills
• In-depth knowledge of steel manufacturing processes (melting, rolling, casting, etc.)
• Production planning and operations management expertise
• Strong understanding of safety standards, statutory compliance, and environmental regulations
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Cost control and budget management skills
• Knowledge of maintenance systems and equipment reliability
