Job Title: Quality Control (QC) & Quality Assurance (QA) Chemist

We operate a small-scale, high-quality manufacturing unit specializing in personal care and cosmetic products. We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented professional to oversee our laboratory, testing, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Quality Control & Quality Assurance (QC/QA)
- Perform routine analytical and physical testing of incoming raw materials, packaging materials, and in-process/finished cosmetic goods (e.g., testing for pH, viscosity, specific gravity, and sensory parameters).
- Conduct stability testing and shelf-life studies on existing and newly developed formulations.
- Monitor production batches to ensure strict adherence to established product specifications and quality benchmarks.
- Identify, document, and investigate any batch deviations or non-conformance issues, implementing swift corrective actions.
2. Regulatory & Compliance Support
- Assist in preparing, updating, and compiling technical documentation required for state FDA licensing, cosmetic compliance, and regulatory audits.
- Ensure the manufacturing unit aligns consistently with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and cleanroom hygiene protocols.
3. Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain meticulous, error-free laboratory notebooks, batch manufacturing records (BMR), and Certificate of Analysis (COA) logs.
- Manage inventory tracking for laboratory chemicals, reagents, and testing apparatus.
- Draft, update, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laboratory equipment and testing methodologies.
