Job Description
- HOUSEKEEPING STAFF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES🧹 Room Cleaning & MaintenanceClean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas
- Change bed linens, pillow covers, and towels
- Dust furniture, vacuum carpets, and mop floors
- Ensure proper room setup as per hotel standards
- 🛏️ Guest Room PreparationPrepare rooms before guest check-in
- Replenish amenities (soap, shampoo, water bottles, tea/coffee kits)
- Check functioning of lights, AC, TV, and report issues
- 🧺 Laundry & Linen ManagementCollect, wash, dry, and iron linens and uniforms
- Maintain linen stock and report shortages
- Ensure proper handling of guest laundry
- 🧴 Hygiene & CleanlinessFollow strict sanitation and hygiene standards
- Use cleaning chemicals safely
- Maintain pest-free and odor-free environment
- 📋 Reporting & CoordinationReport maintenance issues to engineering/front office
- Update room status (vacant, occupied, under cleaning)
- Coordinate with front office for early check-ins or late check-outs
- 🤝 Guest InteractionRespond politely to guest requests
- Provide extra items (towels, pillows, etc.)
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality
- 🍽️ KST (KITCHEN STEWARDING) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES🍽️ Cleaning & DishwashingWash and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment
- Operate dishwashing machines properly
- Ensure all kitchen items are clean and ready for use
- 🧼 Kitchen CleanlinessClean kitchen floors, walls, exhausts, and workstations
- Dispose of waste regularly and maintain garbage area
- Maintain overall hygiene in kitchen areas
- 🔪 Equipment HandlingClean and store kitchen tools properly
- Assist chefs in handling heavy equipment
- Report damaged or missing items
- 🗑️ Waste ManagementSegregate wet and dry waste
- Follow proper disposal procedures
- Maintain pest control standards
- 📦 Store & Inventory SupportHelp in receiving and storing kitchen supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of storage areas
- Support stock rotation (FIFO method)
- 👨🍳 Support to Kitchen TeamAssist chefs during busy hours
- Keep service areas clean during operations
- Ensure continuous availability of clean utensils
- ⚠️ COMMON RESPONSIBILITIES (BOTH TEAMS)Follow hotel SOPs and hygiene standards
- Wear proper uniform and maintain personal hygiene
- Be punctual and disciplined
- Follow safety procedures and avoid accidents
- Cooperate with other departments
