Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Continental Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have expertise in preparing high-quality continental cuisine while ensuring consistency, hygiene, and excellent presentation. The chef will be responsible for maintaining food quality, minimizing wastage, and contributing to menu innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a wide range of continental dishes including pasta, burgers, sandwiches, steaks, grilled items, pizzas, salads, soups, sauces, and appetizers.
• Ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation for every dish served.
• Maintain high standards of food quality and kitchen hygiene.
• Follow standard recipes and food preparation guidelines.
• Perform mise en place and ensure all ingredients are prepared before service.
• Monitor food stock levels and inform management about inventory requirements.
• Minimize food wastage and maintain proper storage of ingredients.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workstations.
• Assist in creating new recipes, seasonal specials, and menu improvements.
• Coordinate effectively with the service and kitchen teams during operations.
• Train and guide junior kitchen staff when required.
• Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Continental Chef in a café, restaurant, or hotel.
• Strong knowledge of continental cuisine, cooking techniques, and food presentation.
• Hands-on experience in preparing pasta, steaks, grills, sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, soups, sauces, and salads.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Creative mindset with attention to detail.
• Culinary diploma or certification is preferred but not mandatory.
