Job Description
Job Title: EDC Machine Sales ExecutiveJob SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented EDC Machine Sales Executive to drive the acquisition of merchants and expand the deployment of Electronic Data Capture (EDC) / POS terminals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying potential business clients, promoting digital payment solutions, and achieving sales targets through effective relationship management.
- Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and acquire new merchants for EDC/POS machine installations.
- Generate leads through field visits, referrals, market mapping, and cold calling.
- Present and explain the benefits of digital payment solutions, including card acceptance and QR-based payments.
- Conduct product demonstrations and assist merchants with onboarding and documentation.
- Coordinate with internal operations and installation teams to ensure timely deployment of EDC machines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Resolve basic merchant queries and coordinate issue resolution with support teams.
- Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, merchant interactions, and pipeline updates in CRM systems.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets as assigned by management.
- Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field (preferred).
- 1–3 years of sales experience in banking, fintech, payment solutions, POS/EDC sales, or merchant acquisition.
- Freshers with strong sales aptitude may also apply.
- Skills & CompetenciesExcellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong field sales and relationship-building capabilities.
- Understanding of digital payments, merchant acquiring, and POS/EDC solutions.
- Self-motivated with a target-driven approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage territory effectively.
- Basic knowledge of CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Number of new merchant acquisitions.
- EDC machine deployment volume.
