Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Financial Reporting:

- Maintain general ledger and ensure timely posting of journal entries.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

- Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and intercompany transactions.

- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.

- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including GST, TDS, and other tax filings.

Inventory Management:

- Monitor and manage inventory levels across warehouses, kitchens, or retail outlets.

- Implement and maintain inventory control systems (e.g., ERP, POS, or WMS).

- Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and variance analysis.

- Coordinate with procurement and operations teams to optimize stock turnover and reduce wastage.

- Analyze inventory trends to support demand planning and cost optimization.

Process & Compliance:

- Develop and enforce SOPs for inventory handling, stock reconciliation, and financial controls.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline procurement, storage, and dispatch processes.

- Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation and reporting.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field (CA Inter or MBA Finance preferred).

- 3+ years of experience in accounting and inventory management roles.

- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks) and inventory systems (e.g., Zoho Inventory, SAP, or custom ERP).

- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, and compliance norms.

- Advanced Excel skills and analytical mindset.

- Excellent organizational and communication skills.

- Experience in food services, FMCG, or retail sectors is a plus.
