Mechanical Engineer

Job Title: Reverse Engineering & 3D Scanning EngineerJob SummaryWe are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented engineer with experience in 3D scanning, reverse engineering, and CAD modeling. The candidate will be responsible for capturing physical components using scanning technologies and converting them into accurate 3D CAD models for manufacturing and analysis.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPerform 3D scanning using handheld or fixed scanners.
• Process scan data (mesh cleaning, alignment, merging).
• Convert STL/mesh data into CAD models (surface/solid).
• Create 2D drawings and manufacturing-ready files.
• Handle reverse engineering projects for mechanical components.
• Ensure accuracy and quality as per client requirements.
• Work with cross-functional teams for design validation.
• Maintain proper documentation of scan data and CAD files.
• Required SkillsStrong knowledge of Reverse Engineering and 3D Scanning techniques
• Experience with software like:
• Geomagic Design X
• Solid Edge / SolidWorks / Siemens NX
• Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Knowledge of STL, STEP, IGES formats
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
• Preferred QualificationsDiploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 1–5 years experience in reverse engineering / 3D scanning
• Experience with handheld scanners like:
• Creaform
• Artec 3D
• Key CompetenciesAttention to detail
• Problem-solving ability
• Time management
• Good communication skills
