Research Assistant

The R&D Executive is responsible for conducting routine culture activity testing, evaluating raw materials and bulk materials, preparing technical documentation, supporting product development, and maintaining accurate research records. The role ensures that products dispatched to customers meet the required quality and performance standards while contributing to the development of new dairy culture applications and formulations.

Key Responsibilities

13. Perform daily activity testing of culture blends scheduled for dispatch as per customer orders, including:

o Milk pasteurization.

o Inoculation of cultures.

o Monitoring pH and acidity using the titration method at regular intervals until the required acidity level (0.7%) is achieved.

14. Conduct quality and activity testing of bulk materials received from production before their release for further processing.

15. Prepare and maintain Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) with accurate calculations to support the FPD team in the preparation of culture blends for daily production.

16. Plan and execute research and development trials for dairy products, including:

o Cheese

o Mishti Dahi

o Flavoured Milk

o Buttermilk

o Stabilizer formulations

o Other products as assigned by the R&D Head.

17. Prepare Certificates of Analysis (COA) for newly developed culture blends in accordance with approved specifications.

18. Develop and maintain Product Data Sheets (PDS) for newly developed products and formulations.

19. Maintain complete documentation of research activities, trial observations, test results, and conclusions, and update all records in Excel or other designated data management systems.

20. Conduct activity studies and performance evaluation of raw materials, particularly stabilizer ingredients, and prepare reports with recommendations.

21. Ensure all laboratory activities are performed in compliance with GMP, GLP, laboratory safety practices, and company quality procedures.

22. Coordinate with the Production, FPD, Quality Assurance, and Technical teams to support new product development, product validation, and customer-specific trials.

23. Maintain laboratory equipment, testing records, and documentation in a clean, organized, and audit-ready condition.

24. Perform any additional technical or research-related activities assigned by the R&D Head.
