Resident Medical Officer

The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) is responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients, supporting consultants and specialists, and ensuring continuity of care within the hospital or healthcare facility.

• Key ResponsibilitiesAssess, examine, and treat patients under the supervision of consultants/specialists
• Conduct daily ward rounds and monitor patient progress
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (laboratory, imaging, etc.)
• Prescribe medications and treatments as per hospital guidelines
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and on-call duties
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Assist in procedures and minor surgeries when required
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families
• Collaborate with nursing and allied health teams for patient care
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical ethics, and safety standards
