Job Description
The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) is responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients, supporting consultants and specialists, and ensuring continuity of care within the hospital or healthcare facility.
- Key ResponsibilitiesAssess, examine, and treat patients under the supervision of consultants/specialists
- Conduct daily ward rounds and monitor patient progress
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (laboratory, imaging, etc.)
- Prescribe medications and treatments as per hospital guidelines
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and on-call duties
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Assist in procedures and minor surgeries when required
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Collaborate with nursing and allied health teams for patient care
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical ethics, and safety standards
