Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning, drilling, and machining operations.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T specifications.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, machine parameters, feeds, and speeds for different metal materials.
- Set up and troubleshoot CNC machines.
- Use CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360.
- Conduct program simulations to avoid collisions and ensure machining accuracy.
- Monitor machining performance and implement cycle-time improvements.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish standards.
- Troubleshoot machining issues, tooling failures, and program errors.
- Maintain documentation for CNC programs, tooling lists, and setup sheets.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety and manufacturing standards.
