Job Description
Collect blood samples using venipuncture and capillary techniques.
Verify patient identity and test requisition before sample collection.
Label and handle specimens accurately for laboratory testing.
Maintain infection control and follow biomedical waste disposal guidelines.
Ensure proper storage and transportation of samples.
Explain procedures to patients and help them feel comfortable.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Monitor and maintain phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
Coordinate with laboratory staff for timely sample processing.
Follow NABL/quality standards and safety protocols.
