Insurance Agent/Advisor

About the RoleTata AIA Life Insurance is looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals to join as Life Insurance Advisors. In this role, you'll help individuals and families protect what matters most — guiding them to the right life insurance, savings, and retirement solutions — while building a flexible, rewarding career with uncapped earning potential and a clear path to leadership.

• Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and connect with prospective clients through referrals, networking, and community outreach.
• Understand each client's financial goals, life stage, and risk profile to recommend suitable life insurance, savings, and retirement plans.
• Clearly and accurately explain policy features, benefits, premiums, and terms so clients can make informed decisions.
• Guide clients through the application, underwriting, and policy issuance process from start to finish.
• Maintain long-term relationships with policyholders, including support with renewals, servicing requests, and claims.
• Meet monthly and annual targets for new business and policy persistency (renewal rates).
• Stay current on Tata AIA's product portfolio, IRDAI regulations, and industry developments through ongoing training.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of client interactions and applications in the company CRM.
• Uphold the highest standards of ethics, transparency, and regulatory compliance in every client interaction.
• As you grow: recruit, train, and mentor new advisors to build and lead your own team.
• RequirementsMinimum age 18; Indian citizen or legally eligible to work in India.
• Minimum education: 10th pass (rural areas) or 12th pass (urban areas); graduates preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and persuasion skills.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
• Basic digital literacy — comfortable using a smartphone or computer for CRM and virtual client meetings.
• Willingness to complete the mandatory IRDAI-approved pre-licensing training and pass the IC-38 licensing exam (Tata AIA provides full training support).
• Prior experience in sales, customer service, or financial services is a plus, but not required — freshers and career-changers are welcome.
