Job Description
The Rough and Fine Cut: Assembling chronological clips and pacing the rhythm of the story, as well as performing advanced edits like J-cuts and L-cuts to make transitions invisible.
Keyframing: Utilizing software effects controls to animate elements on-screen, such as zooms, slide-ins, and audio fades.
Audio Engineering: Syncing external audio, adjusting clip volume, applying limiters, and mixing dialogue with background music and room tones.Color Correction & Grading: Balancing exposure and white balance, and utilizing color wheels/curves to establish the mood of a scene.
Motion Graphics and Typography: Building lower thirds, animated text, subtitles, and understanding design hierarchy (kerning, fonts, and spacing).
File Exporting: Understanding different codecs, containers, and delivery specifications for platforms like YouTube, Instagram, or television broadcasting.
