Job Description
Lathe Machine Operator – Job Description
Operate lathe machines for turning, facing, drilling, threading, and cutting operations.
Read and understand engineering drawings and job specifications.
Set up tools, fixtures, and workpieces on the machine properly.
Measure finished components using Vernier caliper, micrometer, and measuring instruments.
Maintain accuracy and quality standards during production.
Check machine performance and report any faults or maintenance issues.
Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of machine and work area.
Meet daily production targets as assigned by supervisor.
Work with production and quality teams for smooth operations.
