Job Description
Designation: Service Engineer – Diesel Generator (DG) Maintenance
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of diesel generators.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults.
- Perform routine inspections, servicing, and testing of DG sets.
- Monitor engine performance, fuel systems, batteries, and control panels.
- Prepare service reports and maintenance records.
- Attend customer complaints and provide timely resolutions.
- Coordinate with spare parts and service teams for repairs.
- Ensure safety standards and company procedures are followed.
- Support installation, commissioning, and handover of new DG sets.
- Maintain AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) customer schedules.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of diesel engines, alternators, and control systems.
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Basic computer knowledge for reporting and documentation.
Qualification:
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
- Experience in diesel generator maintenance and servicing preferred.
