Job Description
Tourism Sales Executive / Travel Sales Consultant
A Tourism Sales Executive promotes and sells travel packages, tour services, hotel bookings, transportation, and holiday experiences to customers. The role involves generating leads, building client relationships, meeting sales targets, and providing excellent customer service.
- Key ResponsibilitiesSell domestic and international tour packages
- Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, social media, and walk-ins
- Understand customer travel preferences and recommend suitable packages
- Prepare quotations, itineraries, and travel plans
- Coordinate with hotels, airlines, transport providers, and tour operators
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Maintain customer databases and follow up with leads
- Upsell travel insurance, activities, and premium services
- Resolve customer complaints and travel-related issues
- Stay updated on tourism trends, destinations, visa rules, and travel regulations
- Required SkillsStrong communication and negotiation skills
- Sales and customer handling ability
- Knowledge of travel destinations and tourism products
- Computer proficiency (MS Office, CRM, booking systems)
- Problem-solving and multitasking skills
- Fluency in English and regional languages is often preferred
