Job Description
📌 Role OverviewA VMC Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining Vertical Machining Center machines to manufacture precision components as per engineering drawings and specifications.
- 🔧 Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate VMC machines for milling operations
- Load/unload workpieces and ensure proper clamping
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and process sheets
- Perform tool setting and offset adjustments
- Monitor machining operations and ensure quality output
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge)
- Maintain machine cleanliness and follow TPM practices
- Follow safety guidelines and production targets
- ⚙️ Required SkillsBasic knowledge of VMC machine operation
- Understanding of CNC controls (Fanuc/Siemens/Mitsubishi)
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, and speeds
- Familiarity with measuring instruments
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- 🎓 QualificationITI (Machinist / Turner / CNC Operator)
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
- 💼 ExperienceFresher / 0–2 years (training can be provided)
- Experience in CNC/VMC machining is an advantage
