Job Description:

This position performs general financial tasks and other duties as requested.

A UPS Accounting officer supports the integrity of UPS’s financial data by managing general ledger activities, producing accurate reports, assisting with audits, supporting systems, and improving financial processes. The role blends accounting knowledge, analytical problem‑solving, and technical system interaction.

This role plays a key part within the GAC by performing accurate and timely entry of bank deposits—including manual checks, real time deposits, and ACH transactions—into the Payment Processing System (PPS). As well as entering timely bank returns. This will ensure prompt application of cash and customer receipts by our partners.
In addition, this role serves as a liaison with the bank for deposit research and manages the PPS Bank Inquiries team mailbox, addressing questions related to customer payments, returned items, and key entry issues. Responsible for mailing all returned physical checks either back to the customer with proper notification or directly to the bank lockbox, as appropriate. The position will also support the GAC with research and resolution of aged transactions identified during PPS bank reconciliations.
