AM/DM - Module Production
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Process Development: Lead initiatives to enhance and optimise manufacturing workflows for module assembly, incorporating advanced techniques to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain high-quality output. Continuously evaluate current processes and implement improvements aligned with industry best practices and technological advancements.Technology Integration: Spearhead the adoption and integration of cutting-edge technologies such as Thermal Management systems and Laser Technology within the production line. Collaborate closely with engineering and R&D teams to evaluate applicability, troubleshoot implementation challenges, and ensure seamless operation.
Quality Assurance: Oversee stringent quality control measures to guarantee that all manufactured modules meet or exceed established quality standards. Implement robust inspection protocols and work in partnership with quality assurance teams to address non-compliances and facilitate corrective actions.
Production Planning: Manage and adhere to detailed production schedules, coordinating with procurement and inventory teams to assure timely availability of materials and resources. Monitor production progress and adjust plans proactively to meet delivery commitments without compromising quality.
Safety & Compliance: Champion workplace safety by enforcing all relevant safety regulations and protocols. Conduct regular training and awareness programmes for the production team, fostering a culture of safety consciousness and compliance with company and legal standards.
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain comprehensive production records and quality data, preparing detailed performance reports to inform management decision-making. Ensure that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and complies with internal and external audit requirements.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Facilitating cross-functional communication between manufacturing, quality, and engineering departments.
- Leading problem-solving initiatives to address production bottlenecks or technical issues.
- Contributing to continuous improvement projects aimed at cost reduction and productivity enhancement.
- Supporting team development by providing mentorship and technical guidance.
This role demands proactive leadership, a strategic mindset, and a commitment to fostering innovation within the manufacturing environment of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd’s Automotive Division, specifically in the Module Production-EPT department. No travel is expected in this position, enabling focused engagement on-site to drive production excellence.
