Civil Engineer

1. Site Execution

• Supervise day-to-day construction activities at site
• Ensure work as per drawings, BOQ, and specifications
• Monitor manpower, materials, and equipment usage
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors

2. Planning & Scheduling

• Prepare daily and weekly work plans
• Track project progress and update reports
• Ensure work completion within timelines
• Identify delays and take corrective actions

3. Quality Control

• Check material quality (cement, sand, steel, concrete, etc.)
• Ensure work follows quality standards and drawings
• Conduct site inspections and testing (slump test, cube test, etc.)
• Maintain quality checklists and records

4. Quantity Surveying & Billing

• Take site measurements and prepare BOQ quantities
• Prepare contractor running bills
• Verify subcontractor bills
• Track material consumption and wastage

5. Drawing & Documentation

• Study structural and architectural drawings
• Prepare bar bending schedule (BBS)
• Maintain DPR (Daily Progress Report)
• Prepare site reports and documentation

6. Coordination

• Coordinate with architects, consultants, and project manager
• Handle client/site meetings
• Resolve site issues and technical queries

7. Safety Management

• Ensure safety rules at site
• Monitor PPE usage
• Report unsafe conditions
• Conduct basic safety briefings

8. Material Management

• Check material requirements
• Raise material requisitions
• Monitor stock and delivery
• Avoid material shortage at site

9. Basic Software Knowledge (Expected)

• AutoCAD
• Excel (billing, quantity tracking)
• MS Project / Primavera (basic)
• Basic estimation
