Electrical Engineer
POSITION SUMMARY
- Electrical Engineer in Design Engineering designs UPS’s sizing & Selection, batteries, switchboards, panelboards, cable trays, cables, busbars and other similar electrical equipment.
- Prepares documentation like single line diagrams, power load calculations, lighting calculations, cable lists, he models electrical equipment in Revit and does basic calculations.
- Electrical engineer needs to have knowledge about relevant US, European & India standards and basic knowledge about International and other standards related to electrical engineering.
- Developing electrical design of modular buildings (small/medium scale) & Stick build in Revit and AutoCAD and produces project documentation as mentioned in upper paragraph. Electrical Engineer in design engineering works on single line diagrams in AutoCAD, wiring diagrams in ePlan, models in Revit, participate on engineering meetings with equipment suppliers and develops new skills and knowledge through internal and external education. Electrical Engineer will be part of team of engineers with a lot of knowledge in various disciplines.
- Engineer with Data Center Projects experience/background or similar Critical Infrastructure experience preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing of project conceptual and detailed design
- Based on input data (information, requirements, standards), development of electrical project documentation: power and lighting calculations, diagrams, layouts, schedules, cable running lists, detail drawings, descriptions, instructions, material submittals, presentations and marketing materials etc.
- During design follow and take into consideration international, national and company standards and good engineering practices
- Use knowledge and experience to fulfill requirements given by project tasks
- Participating in kick-off meeting, regular project team meetings, and on-site coordination meetings
- Reporting project status to Project Lead Engineer
- Proactive cooperation with all team members during project execution
- Initiating RFI („Request for Information “) in cases where additional clarification is needed
- Development of defined documents according to Document list (DLIST)
- Verification and approval of workshop documentation developed by subcontractors
- Communicates with stakeholders in North America, India, EMEA or Australia based on project & time overlap.
- Specifying Bill of Material and services required for project execution
- Specification of necessary certificates for materials needed to be ordered
- Supporting suppliers with additional information during bidding phase of sourcing (offer submitting)
- Providing technical approval for received supplier offers
- Providing technical support to subcontractors and installers during production/assembly
- Cooperation with Manufacturing and Site deployment engineering team
- Cooperation with Site Manager during assembly, providing technical solutions to raised issues
- Cooperation with Quality Control during quality control of components/systems and assembly on Site
- Cooperation with Commissioning engineer on testing documentation development
- Participation on internal testing and FAT
AUTHORIZATIONS
- Review and approval of outsourced electrical design documentation with support of lead electrical engineer
- Approve or reject technically received supplier offer with support of lead electrical engineer
- Approve or reject suggested changes by subcontractor on approved workshop documentation with support of lead electrical engineer
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education – electrical engineer
- 3-5 years of experience
- English language – fluent
- Software – Revit, AutoCAD, EPLAN, MS Office, Dialux
- Soft skills:attention to details, problem solving, organization, creativity, teamwork, flexible, hard working
