General Duty Assistant (GDA)

About the Role

We are looking for compassionate, responsible, and patient-focused General Duty Assistants (GDAs) to support individuals requiring assistance with daily activities, mobility, and basic healthcare needs. The role involves working in homes, healthcare facilities, elder care communities, and other healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
• Support elderly individuals and patients requiring long-term or post-hospitalization care.
• Assist with transferring patients safely from bed to chair, wheelchair, or other locations.
• Monitor and report any changes in the patient's condition to supervisors or family members.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene around the patient.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
• Assist healthcare professionals, nurses, and physiotherapists as required.
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and dignity at all times.

Eligibility

• GDA / Caregiver certification preferred.
• Freshers and experienced candidates may apply.
• Experience in home healthcare, hospitals, nursing homes, elder care facilities, or rehabilitation centres is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of patient care and hygiene practices.

Skills Required

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and patient-centric approach.
• Ability to follow instructions and care plans.
• Physical fitness to assist patients with mobility and daily activities.
• Basic smartphone usage for communication and reporting.
• Ability to speak Hindi and/or Marathi. Basic English knowledge is preferred.
