Housekeeping Staff - Farm House

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•      Maintain all guest rooms, common areas, lobbies, washrooms, corridors, and outdoor spaces in immaculate condition at all times.

•      Perform daily cleaning routines including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and sanitisation as per the standard operating procedures (SOPs).

•      Prepare and set up guest rooms prior to arrivals, ensuring fresh linen, towels, toiletries, and amenities are neatly arranged.

•      Handle guest laundry, linen management, and inventory of housekeeping supplies with meticulous record-keeping.

•      Operate and maintain housekeeping machinery including vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, polishing machines, carpet extractors, and steam cleaners.

•      Select and use appropriate cleaning chemicals, detergents, disinfectants, and sanitisers with a clear understanding of dilution ratios, surface compatibility, and safety protocols (MSDS awareness).

•      Conduct periodic deep-cleaning drives for upholstery, carpets, curtains, glass facades, and kitchen areas.

•      Inspect rooms and public areas for maintenance issues (leaks, damages, pest concerns) and report to the Facilities Manager promptly.

•      Ensure proper waste segregation, disposal, and adherence to hygiene standards as per local municipal regulations.

•      Assist in event set-up, VIP room preparation, and special hospitality arrangements as and when required.

•      Follow all safety protocols including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) while handling chemicals and machinery.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

•       in professional housekeeping operations. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience

•      Prior experience in hotels, resorts, serviced apartments, or premium hospitality establishments will be strongly preferred.

•       — cleaning agents, disinfectants, degreasers, glass cleaners, floor sealants, and their safe usage. Thorough knowledge of housekeeping chemicals

•       — industrial vacuum cleaners, auto-scrubbers, high-pressure washers, and carpet shampoo machines. Proficiency in operating housekeeping machinery

•      Awareness of hygiene and sanitation standards applicable to guest house / hospitality environments.

•      Basic literacy and ability to maintain housekeeping logs, inventory sheets, and checklists.
