HR Benefits - INThe HR Benefits job supervises professionals that assist in the benchmarking, design and communication of the organization's benefits programs. This job provides guidance to engagement teams / clients on a consulting basis, provides breadth and depth of functional expertise, oversight and support for Compensation & Benefits (C&B) planning, analysis, solution development and presentation. As a team manager, this job sets goals and objectives for team members and ensures policies and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Reviews benefit program designs, ensuring the new programs meet both internal equity standards and external market competitiveness.
- Oversees implementation of new benefits programs and the administration of current benefits programs to ensure employees have timely access to and relevant information on available benefit offerings.
- Provides expertise to engagement teams in leading the identification, understanding and framing of complex C&B problems.
- Supervises planning, analysis, solution development or presentation for the most complex or sensitive C&B engagement components.
- Mentors, coaches and educates senior consultants regarding advanced C&B consulting knowledge, services, practices and techniques.
- Identifies, recommends and guides development of advanced C&B consulting services, practices and techniques.
- Manages preparation for annual enrollment as well as provides ongoing guidance and oversight for the annual enrollment process including assisting with other employee questions, testing and review of enrollment websites and materials, etc.
- Manages performance of team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional services and engagement, motivation and development of team.

Compensation & Benefits Specialist
The Compensation & Benefits Specialist is an experienced Individual Contributor and trusted advisor responsible for the design, delivery, and oversight of Compensation, Benefits, and Wellbeing programmes across India, with exposure to and collaboration on global benefits initiatives. Working closely with the C&B team, Global Benefits teams, HR partners, and business leaders, this role provides deep functional expertise and advisory support to drive competitive, compliant, and cost-effective total rewards solutions aligned to the organisation's employee value proposition and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Compensation & Benefits
- Serve as subject matter expert and trusted advisor on Compensation, Benefits & Wellbeing for India.
- Collaborate with the teams to design and deliver programmes aligned with objectives and local regulatory requirements.
- Lead compensation programme design, plan management, and evaluation in accordance with the organisation's global reward strategy.
- Support the annual compensation review cycle including salary benchmarking, merit increases, incentive planning, and benefits renewals.
Advisory & Consulting
- Act as a go-to advisor for HR Business Partners, Finance, and business leaders on C&B matters for India.
- Provide advisory support to the team on complex cases, sharing expertise to drive consistent and high-quality outcomes.
- Guide the team on best practices, market trends, and regulatory developments in total rewards.
- Contribute to the development of C&B frameworks, toolkits, and guidelines to support consistent and compliant delivery.
Benefits Administration & Wellbeing
- Work with the team to oversee benefits administration ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience.
- Advice on benefits programme design to support the organisation's employee value proposition and evolving business requirements.
- Collaborate with the team to manage vendor and broker relationships, ensuring service delivery standards and contract compliance.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of wellbeing initiatives that support employee health, engagement, and productivity across the organisation
Financial & Vendor Management
- Partner with Finance and the C&B team to support benefits cost forecasting, budget tracking, and governance.
- Support vendor performance monitoring, cost-effectiveness reviews, and vendor consolidation efforts.
Compliance & Governance
- Advise the team and business on compliance of all C&B programmes with local labour laws, statutory requirements, and regulatory guidelines across all supported markets.
- Monitor and track risks, issues, and action items across C&B projects and operational workstreams, guiding the team on resolution.
- Support internal and external audits related to compensation, benefits, and payroll across India and global markets.
Process Improvement & Analytics
- Drive process improvements by streamlining and documenting C&B procedures in collaboration with the team.
- Analyse and report on global C&B data including cost trends, benchmarking outcomes, and programme utilisation to support informed decision-making.
- Monitor market trends in total rewards, sharing insights with the team and leadership to keep the organisation competitive across all markets.
Technology & AI Enablement
- Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance compensation and benefits analytics, automate routine processes, and improve the accuracy and efficiency of total rewards reporting.
- Collaborate with the C&B team and HR technology partners to explore and implement AI-driven solutions that improve benefits administration, employee communications, and programme delivery.
- Stay current with developments in AI and HR technology, proactively identifying opportunities to apply innovative tools and approaches within the C&B function.
- Support the responsible and compliant use of AI within the C&B space, ensuring data privacy, ethical use, and regulatory compliance are maintained at all times.
- Contribute to building AI literacy within the C&B team by sharing knowledge, best practices, and practical applications of AI tools relevant to total rewards.

Skills Required
- Deep expertise in compensation design, benefits administration and wellbeing.

Required Experience:
10+ years of experience in Compensation & Benefits or Total Rewards within a large, global, matrixed organisation
- Demonstrated experience leading complex C&B engagements as an individual contributor
- Proven track record in compensation benchmarking, benefits design, pension strategy, and programme administration
- Experience contributing to cross-border benefits projects and programme harmonisation with Global Benefits teams
- Knowledge of benefits regulatory requirements and market practices across key global markets
- Effective collaboration with and influencing of senior HR and business leadership across geographies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) and HRIS platforms such as Workday
- Strong experience in benefits vendor management, statutory compliance, and financial forecasting
