INTERIOR DESIGN FACULTY/TRAINER

We are seeking a creative, knowledgeable, and passionate Interior Design Faculty member to teach undergraduate and/or diploma students. The ideal candidate should possess strong academic knowledge, practical industry experience, and the ability to mentor students in design thinking, space planning, materials, furniture design, CAD software, and project execution.

• Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging lectures and practical studio sessions in Interior Design.
• Teach subjects such as:
• Design Fundamentals
• Space Planning
• Furniture Design
• Building Materials
• Construction Techniques
• Interior Services
• Sustainable Design
• CAD, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, 3ds Max, Lumion, or similar software
• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, assessments, and examination papers.
• Guide students in design projects, portfolios, and presentations.
• Conduct workshops, seminars, and industry interactions.
• Mentor students during internships and final-year projects.
• Stay updated with current trends, technologies, and industry practices.
• Participate in curriculum development, accreditation, and departmental activities.
• Maintain academic records and ensure timely evaluation of student performance.
• QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Interior Design (B.Des./B.Sc./B.Voc.) is mandatory.
• Master's Degree in Interior Design, Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
• NET/SET qualification is desirable where applicable.
• Experience2–5 years of teaching and/or professional industry experience.
• Fresh postgraduates with strong portfolios may also apply (if applicable).
• Required SkillsStrong design and visualization skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, MS Office, and presentation tools.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Portfolio development and mentoring capabilities.
• Knowledge of current interior design trends and sustainable practices.
• Ability to inspire creativity and critical thinking among students.
