Job Summary

Synechron is seeking a skilled Java Developer to design, develop, and deploy high-performance, cloud-native applications in a fast-paced enterprise environment. This role focuses on leveraging Java 11+ and Spring Boot to build scalable backend solutions integrated with Azure cloud services. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and deliver reliable, secure, and maintainable solutions aligned with organizational strategies and client needs.

Software Requirements

Required:

• Proficiency in Java (version 11 or above) with experience in developing scalable backend applications.

• Hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks for building microservices.

• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience writing optimized queries.

• Experience with Hibernate and JPA patterns for ORM-based data access.

• Basic understanding of Linux/Unix environments and commands.

• Familiarity with Azure cloud platform and services (Azure App Services, Functions, Storage).

• Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes, preferably Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

• Version control and CI/CD experience with tools like GitLab, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of infrastructure provisioning tools such as Terraform or Helm.

• Understanding of AKS architecture and best practices.

• Exposure to scripting languages like Shell and Python.

• Experience with helm charts for deploying applications.

Overall Responsibilities

• Develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks to support scalable, cloud-native applications.

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-native architectures on Azure, including App Services, Functions, and AKS.

• Implement and optimize continuous integration and delivery pipelines to enable rapid, reliable deployments.

• Collaborate with product owners, UI/UX teams, and operations to ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements.

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices for security, performance, and maintainability.

• Contribute to IaC development and cloud infrastructure automation leveraging Terraform, Helm, or similar tools.

• Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to address system bottlenecks and errors.

Performance outcomes:
Consistent delivery of scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-native applications that meet business objectives and operational SLAs.

• 7+ years of professional experience in enterprise Java backend development.

• Proven experience designing and deploying scalable microservices on cloud platforms, especially Azure.

• Demonstrated success implementing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and container orchestration.

• Experience in agile environments, delivering complex solutions within deadlines.

• Industry sectors such as finance, banking, fintech, or enterprise solutions preferred; relevant supporting experience acceptable.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Develop and deploy backend microservices and APIs using Java/Spring Boot and cloud-native tools.

• Build and optimize cloud infrastructure for high availability, security, and scalability.

• Automate deployment, configuration, and infrastructure provisioning with Terraform, Helm, and CI/CD tools.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and troubleshoot issues.

• Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers.

• Monitor system health, analyze logs, and perform root cause investigations.

• Document architecture, deployment processes, and operational guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant discipline.

• 7+ years of experience implementing enterprise Java solutions with Spring Boot in cloud environments.

• Cloud certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect or Developer are a plus.

• Proven experience with containerization, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and system optimization skills.

• Excellent communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
