Production Engineer

Join us as a Sr. Support (Application Engineer CNC Shop) in Pune responsible for generation of CAM program using Edge CAM /NX CAM software & relevant post processor. Proving of NC program on machine and manufacturing the component to meet quality requirement and preparing the tool layout and program file for serial production.

The position / About the Job:

In this job the Sr. Support (Application Engineer CNC Shop) would be responsible for:

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Detail component drawing study and development of machining sequence to meet the quality requirement
• Must have hands on experience of component prove out on 5 Axis CNC machine
• Must have hands on experience on program generation on Edge CAM & NX CAM using 3D model
• Hands on experience of working of DMG 80FD, NT5400, high end manufacturing machines
• Shall be conversant with Siemens and Fanuc NC control
• Floating of RFQ to cutting tool suppliers, receiving the quotation and evaluating the sequences of operations
• Prepare tool layout, CNC program file and necessary documentation for serial production
• Candidate having experience of working on CNC grinding machine will be added advantage
• Component cycle time study and reduction in machining time/set ups
• Support tool store for developing alternate source, tool life improvement projects
• Attend daily cell status board meeting and work with internal stake holders for problem resolution, KAIZEN
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage component deliverables and project timeline
• Work with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality to ensure readiness and alignment with operational goals

What you can be?

Qualifications & experience:

• BE/DME Mechanical from reputed University/ Collage with good academic record.
• 9 to 14 years of Experience in 5 Axis machining preferably on DMG/Mori Seiki
• Hands on experience of AUTO CAD, Creo Parametric, Edge CAM, CIMCO
• Must be able to prove component on machine using 3D model from PLM system
