Job Description
We are looking for a responsible and proactive Hostel / PG Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the property. The candidate will be responsible for managing occupancy, ensuring resident satisfaction, supervising staff, handling maintenance issues, and maintaining a safe, clean, and positive living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Occupancy Management
- Show the property to prospective customers.
- Explain facilities, room options, and pricing.
- Convert inquiries into bookings and maximize bed occupancy.
- Maintain occupancy records and follow up on leads.
Resident Management
- Ensure a healthy, comfortable, and happy environment for all residents.
- Address resident concerns, complaints, and feedback promptly.
- Build positive relationships with residents and maintain discipline within the property.
Maintenance Coordination
- Identify and resolve maintenance-related issues.
- Coordinate with vendors, technicians, and contractors for repairs and upkeep.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure the property remains in excellent condition.
Staff Supervision
- Manage and monitor housekeeping staff.
- Manage and monitor kitchen staff and food service operations.
- Ensure all assigned tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
- Maintain staff attendance, discipline, and performance standards.
Operations & Administration
- Handle local purchases and procurement of daily-use materials.
- Maintain inventory of housekeeping, kitchen, and maintenance supplies.
- Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and operational standards.
- Prepare daily and monthly operational reports.
Required Skills
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to lead and manage staff.
- Problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
- Basic computer knowledge (Excel, WhatsApp, Email).
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in Hostel, PG, Hotel, Facility Management, or Hospitality Industry preferred.
