- Service Solutions & AI is the domain revolutionizing Deutsche Bank's Private Bank through holistic process automation and AI innovation. Within this critical area, the "Customer Journey Solutions" team is central to shaping its future. We make a significant contribution to the target architecture by driving a common platform, fostering growth initiatives, and optimizing processes. Our key initiatives include the operation and development of the dbCORE low-code platform for process design, creating online product sales and self-service offerings for all channels, building a dedicated product sales and service shop for easy integration, and delivering PB-wide Ident & Sign solutions.
- As a Requirements Engineer, you will support the delivery of high‑quality software solutions by helping bridge the gap between client needs and the technical delivery teams. You will work across key phases of the software delivery lifecycle—from initial requirement clarification and scoping, through detailed functional analysis, to collaboration with engineering teams to ensure successful implementation.
- This role requires an enthusiastic and pragmatic self‑starter who is passionate about problem‑solving and delivering cost‑effective, high‑quality outcomes. You will work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA engineers as part of agile Scrum teams, contributing directly to user story creation, refinement, and functional documentation.

Your key responsibilities
- Assist in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and engineering teams to ensure accurate understanding of requirements.
- Participate in requirements elicitation sessions, workshops, and clarification discussions under the guidance of senior analysts or Product Owners.
- Support the creation, detailing, and refinement of User Stories, acceptance criteria, and functional concepts for agile delivery teams.
- Contribute to requirements analysis across the full software delivery lifecycle, ensuring functional clarity and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with IT teams throughout development and testing phases to support delivery of working software.
- Maintain documentation such as user stories, functional specifications, process flows, and system behavior descriptions.
- Provide input to backlog refinement, prioritization, and dependency identification.
- Develop a strong understanding of Retail Banking IT domains, particularly Frontends & Channels and cloud‑based architectures.
- Work effectively within Scrum teams, participating in agile ceremonies and contributing to continuous improvement.
Your skills and experience
- Functional & Technical Skills
- Practical experience in requirements engineering for large scale IT solutions, preferably working directly with engineers in Scrum teams.
- Experience in writing and refining User Stories, functional concepts, and specifications for agile teams.
- Understanding of Retail Banking IT, including Frontends & Channels and cloud native concepts.
- Familiarity with agile methods and tools such as Jira or Confluence (expectation: working knowledge, not expert).
- Ability to analyze and document requirements clearly, concisely, and accurately.
- Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrates independence, initiative, and willingness to take ownership of assigned tasks, while seeking guidance where needed.
- Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with evolving digital and web technology environments.
- Language Skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- German language proficiency (B1 or higher) is a plus.
