Job Description: Sales & Operations Staff
Position: Sales & Operations Staff (Exhibitions + E-commerce support)
Location: Pune, Maharashtra
Company: Coton Cave [ Cotton Bedsheets & Dohar Brand]
Reports to: Founder / Operations Manager
About Us
We are a growing home-fabrics brand specialising in premium cotton bedsheets and dohar covers, operating in exhibitions and direct online retail. We’re looking for a proactive intern to support both offline and online operations and help us scale.
Key Responsibilities
1. Exhibition & Sales Support (8-12 days/month):
Assist in planning and setting up at exhibitions/trade shows (stall layout, stock display, POS materials)
Engage with visitors, explain product features (material, design, care), convert leads into sales
Collect customer details, follow up leads and help close offline orders
Manage exhibition logistics: transporting stock, setting up/packing down displays, handling payments, tracking sales
Provide feedback post-event: what worked, what didn’t, suggestions for improvement
2. Stock & Logistics Management (remaining days of month):
Maintain inventory of all products: track incoming stock, check quality, label, organise storage
Coordinate packing & dispatch of online orders: ensuring accuracy, quality check, timeliness
Manage returns/exchanges: inspect, restock (if re-usable), update records
Liaise with courier/shipping partners and schedule dispatches
Maintain an easy-to-access stock ledger (Excel/Google Sheets or simple inventory software) showing available, sold, returned items
3. Content Creation & Social Media Assistance:
Help shoot product photos and short video clips (for reels) (you’ll assist the founder/brand in staging, lighting, props, styling)
Assist in editing/basic post-production (cropping, colour correction, short clips) or coordinate with a freelancer/editor
Support content scheduling: posting 3 reels/week, updating stories, responding to comments/dms under guidance
Provide suggestions for social-media campaigns, assist in implementing them (e.g., behind-the-scenes content at exhibitions, unboxing videos)
4. Order Packing & Customer Support:
On e-commerce days: pick & pack orders, ensure neat packaging, include thank-you notes/brand inserts
Communicate with online customers: answer queries about stock, shipping, delivery status, returns
Ensure timely hand-over of parcels to courier/shipping partner and update tracking in system
Skills and Qualities We’re Looking For
Minimum Class XII (or undergraduate) with interest in retail, social media, e-commerce and customer engagement
Good communication skills, friendly and outgoing (for exhibitions)
Basic photography/video skills or a strong interest to learn for product-shooting and reels
Organized, reliable, comfortable managing multiple tasks (exhibitions + stock + content)
Good time-management: able to commit 8-12 exhibition days/month and the rest to operations
Proactive, can suggest improvements rather than just execute tasks
Familiarity with Instagram & reels, basic editing apps (e.g., CapCut, InShot) is a bonus
Basic knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) for inventory tracking
Duration, Working Days & Hours
12 month internship (with possibility to extend / convert to part-time/full-time depending on performance)
Exhibition days: 8-12 days/month (hours will vary by event – early set-up, full day, pack-down)
On non-exhibition days: 5 days/week, standard 9 am-6 pm (or agreed schedule) sitting at our office in Pune
Occasional weekend work depending on exhibitions/packing schedule
