Role Summary:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, ensuring rigorous statutory compliance, and leading a team of approximately 5 junior staff and interns. This role requires a blend of high-level technical expertise in Indian taxation and auditing, alongside strong leadership capabilities to maintain the firm's standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Statutory Compliance & Taxation: Overseas the preparation and timely filing of GST returns, TDS returns, and Income Tax returns.

• Manage Tax Audit assignments and ensure compliance with latest amendments in tax laws.
• Handle representation work and prepare responses to various departmental notices.
• Financial Reporting & Auditing Lead Statutory and Internal Audits for a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Prepare and review Final Accounts, including Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss statements, and Cash Flow statements.
• Ensure all financial reporting is in strict accordance with ICAI Accounting Standards (AS).
• Team Leadership & Review Supervise, mentor, and review the work of a team of 10+ junior accountants and articles.
• Quality control of all working papers and documentation before final partner review.
• Facilitate internal training sessions to keep the team updated on changing regulations.
• Client Management Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding day-to-account queries.
• Provide preliminary advisory on financial planning and tax optimization to clients.
• Technical Requirements Education: M.Com / Inter-CA / MBA in Finance.
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience, preferably within a CA firm.
• Software: Expert-level proficiency in Tally Prime and MS Office (specifically Advanced Excel functions like VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Macros).
• Legal Knowledge: Thorough understanding of GST, Income Tax Act, and Companies Act.
• Soft Skills & Competencies Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (critical for client interactions and team coaching).
• Leadership: Proven ability to manage a team, delegate tasks effectively, and maintain office discipline.
