Senior Associate IC - Nuveen Global Investment Operations
The role of the Senior Associate with business title Operations Manager encompasses end-to-end supervisory responsibility of ascend process accomplished through various systematic, written, and verbal interactions with Operational Teams, Front Office and Middle Office Teams, as well as external teams like custodian bank, broker and . The primary focus of the position is timely and accurate reconciliation of accounts across multiple business lines, maintenance of the overall quality and accuracy of assigned processes, and preparation of ad hoc statistical reports.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Monitor process and any associated applications daily to ensure all BAU is efficiently being catered
  • Ensure issues are identified, addressed and highlighted/escalated on timely manner to meet the SLAs
  • Maintain the relation with custodians and other external parties, as well as across multiple internal systems
  • Upon identifying and analyzing exceptions, ensure necessary, corrective action is assigned to responsible parties, logged, and prioritized for resolution
  • Interface with internal and external business teams to identify root cause of the BAU issues
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective actions with appropriate teams
  • Develop a significant level of expertise of the holdings, terms, and transactions of all Funds/Portfolios to provide intuitive and proactive oversight of same
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure all process and audit trail documentation is up-to-date at all times
  • Identify, escalate and thereby proactively manage process/delivery risks
  • Respond to numerous ad hoc requests from internal and external clients for additional information
  • Monitor changes in business processes to ensure Reconciliation Tool and any associated applications are updated accordingly
  • Assist in testing updates to Reconciliation Tool and any associated applications
  • Maintain and provide timely and accurate MI of process performance and risk
  • Assist with ad hoc duties as assigned

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide senior support for LevFin CLO analytics, ensuring quality of reporting and data delivered to investment teams and stakeholders.
  • Validate accuracy of collateral quality, concentrations, coverage tests, CLO waterfalls, management fees, and test result calculations per CLO indentures.
  • Serve as a key contact with trustees, agent banks, and counterparties for issue resolution and discrepancy remediation.
  • Maintain all Leverage Finance activities including interest rate resets, principal repayments, drawdowns, and margin changes across systems.
  • Deliver cashflow projections to portfolio managers and analysts, and review cash and currency positions for FX adjustments.
  • Support CLO closing reconciliation, fund liquidation, and onboarding of new funds while ensuring integrity of asset attributes in all systems.
  • Assist with WSO data discrepancies, metrics reporting, process documentation, and hoc duties as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, maintain up-to-date audit trail documentation, and collaborate with IT and vendors to resolve technical issues.

Required Skills:

  • Master’s degree in accounting, Business, Finance, or related discipline with three to six years of experience in CLO, Leveraged Loan, or Bank Loan operations.
  • Expertise in reading and interpreting CLO indentures, validating coverage and collateral quality tests, and understanding the full CLO and syndicated loan lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in Wall Street Office (WSO) and ClearPar, along with working knowledge of Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, and Foreign Exchange instruments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Access, and VBA.

Preferred Skills:

  • Application knowledge of Bloomberg AIM, Charles River, ClearPar, and Markit Notice Manager.
  • Experience with workflow automation tools and familiarity with securities processes including Corporate Actions and Trade Operations.
  • Job Code, Job Tier, Job Family, and FLSA designation to be completed by the Compensation team.
