Role Overview
The Network Products team is looking for a Senior Specialist, Product Management, to drive new innovative products and services for Mastercard’s global core payments network. The successful candidate will help define our technology, leading efforts from an initial problem statement and analysis, through development of options, leading into implementation. The role will involve developing a strong business understanding of market needs and will call for close collaboration with internal technical teams , regional market-facing teams, customers, product teams and other business owners within Mastercard to identify Real Time ecosystem needs, resolve cross product dependencies, shape our approach, and drive alignment around our proposals.

Role
In this position, specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Developing and implementing new innovative Mastercard Services by liaising with business and technical teams, translating customer needs into objectives, identifying possible solutions and defining specific product requirements
• Collaborating closely with development teams, software architects, and other product managers to develop a deep understanding of our systems and product functionality
• Developing compelling presentation materials, narratives and visuals, leveraging data analysis to support recommendations and drive alignment among teams
• Communicating clearly and concisely (both verbal and written), driving institutionalized knowledge and consistent, reliable product documentation
• Act as an expert, advocate for and champion of Mastercard Services for internal and external stakeholders
• Lead the Product Management Excellence (PME) process to manage the delivery of ongoing innovation and enhancements.
• Proactively identify and resolve cross‑product dependencies and edge cases that are not addressed in standard product documentation.
• Define, document, and standardize reusable integration patterns for internal all products integrating within the Real-Time Ecosystem.
• Partner with regional product teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies and ensure successful rollout
• Lead integration‑heavy discussions with internal stakeholders and customers, providing expert‑level guidance across multi‑product scenarios.

The ideal candidate for this position should:
• Have a good understanding of and affinity for Mastercard’s payment network and core transaction processing systems.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of transaction life cycles, and cross‑product dependencies.
• Be a self-starter and quick learner with ability to work independently; have an owner mindset
• Thrive in fast-paced environments and have flexibility to handle rapidly changing scenarios; able to work through ambiguity and manage complex projects
• Be willing to dive deep and learn about our technology, system structure and rules
• Have strong visual presentation skills, including data visualization and the ability to produce clear, compelling slides
• Have strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within specified timelines
• Have strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; able to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with cross-functional partners in a matrixed organization
• Have strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to translate numbers into insights and tell a story behind them
