Software Tester

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team and support the delivery of high-quality software products. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals who are eager to build a long-term career in software testing and quality assurance.

The selected candidate will work closely with developers, senior QA engineers, and product stakeholders to validate functionality, identify defects, and ensure applications meet business and user expectations. This position offers hands-on exposure to real-world testing practices, structured QA processes, and release cycles across web and/or mobile applications.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Understand product requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and workflows to identify test objectives
• Participate in requirement review discussions to highlight gaps, ambiguities, and potential risks from a QA perspective
• Design, write, and execute manual test cases and test scenarios based on functional and non-functional requirements
• Perform various types of testing, including smoke testing, sanity testing, functional testing, regression testing, and exploratory testing
• Execute test cases across different environments and browsers to ensure consistent behavior and usability
• Identify, log, and track software defects using bug tracking tools, ensuring accurate severity, priority, and reproduction steps
• Re-test reported defects after fixes and validate outcomes to ensure issues are fully resolved
• Maintain test documentation, including test cases, test data, execution results, and basic test reports
• Collaborate with developers to clearly communicate defects, root causes, and expected behavior
• Support senior QA engineers during release testing, UAT support, and production validation
• Follow defined QA processes, documentation standards, and timelines to support timely releases
• Continuously learn and apply QA best practices, tools, and testing techniques

Skills & Competencies:

• Basic understanding of web applications, browsers, and client–server architecture
• Knowledge of manual testing techniques and structured test case design
• Familiarity with the defect life cycle and defect management processes
• Awareness of browser compatibility and UI/UX validation principles
• Basic knowledge of databases and SQL for data validation (preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify edge cases and potential failure points
• High attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset
• Good verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to follow processes, meet deadlines, and work in a structured testing environment
• Strong willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within a QA-focused role
